The Purple Purl: 2015 LYS

A Knitalong team at the Purple Purl
“Purple is the best colour in the world!”.  says Miko, who along with Jennifer, founded The Purple Purl over seven years ago.

“The Purl” as it is known, is a home away from home for many knitters. Delicious coffee, tea and baked goods and comfy armchairs make this east side LYS a great place to drop by during a day of strolling in the Leslieville neighbourhood. Their stitch night is Tuesday and weekend afternoons are informal drop-in occasions as well. Many of you may already know the Purl from their fantastic booth at the annual Knitter's Frolic or as the hosts the now sadly retired Knitty.com Yarn Roundtables.

They proudly stock many Canadian hand dyed yarns like Dye-Version, Sweet Georgia, Indigo Dragonfly and Tanis Fiber Arts alongside stand bys like Cascade 220. Their great Purly Points rewards program will help you acquire more yarn faster. Unique classes are on offer and there are Friday morning project help sessions as well.

The Purple Purl is a favourite Knitalong spot and a generous sponsor of our event. There are snacks and prizes and a friendly welcome. Three teams will stop there this year.

Closest TTC: The 83 Jones bus from Donlands station stops right around the corner and the 501 Queen car has a stop directly in front of the store.
